Odíhg Tmèlíhp (Tmè /lɪ̞p/ [claw] [glacier]) is a subtropical Town located in the Kshizbāj̼ Provence of the Kingdom of Hobben.

The name Odíhg Tmèlíhp is derived from the Tauric language, as Odíhg Tmèlíhp was founded by Bylleris Jenney Pughes, who was culturaly Tauric.

Climate

Overview

Odíhg Tmèlíhp was founded durring the early 14th century in summer of the year 1303, by Bylleris Jenney Pughes. The establishment of Odíhg Tmèlíhp was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Bylleris Jenney Pughes struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Odíhg Tmèlíhp as a prison colony.

Odíhg Tmèlíhp was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the early 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Odíhg Tmèlíhp is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature plaster covered brick construction taking the shape of large simple gemometric shapes which ate then embelished with decorative features, but retain their simple shapes in spite of the added features such as pillars, faccaddes, and covered walkways. The blocky nature gives a general impression of extreem age, as if each structure has existed since time immemorial.

Odíhg Tmèlíhp is was constructed arround several narrow paverstone mainstreets which cross one another at certain axies, with smaller streets branching off of them to premit acess to the many buildings deeper into the road network. The overall fashion is remenessent of a circulatory system, or other organic construct, and is quite effishent in its design. The town is the proud owner of a thick set of fortified walls fashioned from querried stone blocks. While not up to snuff for a fort or castle wall, the town's walls are naturaly much larger than those of forts or castles. Therefore, the construction such a wall is most expencive. Odíhg Tmèlíhp's buget focused wall would serve its community well in battle in spite of looking unimpressive compared to castles and fortresses. The town's top tier civilian fortifications are visibly old, but also obviously well maintained. Its likly the local malishia or garrison are tasked with routine mantance of the town's defences.

Before you’ve even set foot into the heart of Odíhg Tmèlíhp, you can smell it. The incense. It hangs about the town like a cloud. Monks, priests, and clerics are everywhere, all dedicated to the same god, all performing the same rituals to bless and anoint buildings, streets, people, animals, you name it they are or have blessed it. The same holy symbol is everywhere too. Its on buildings, on people, and even branded into livestock. This certainly loves its god. More than it loves wealth. The town is very clearly poor. Buildings are run down in ways that are not imeadiatly obvious. The people are a bit too thin. The market is very eager to sell to newcomers, but not so eager to buy from them. There’s also a general lack of the hum and buzz of healthy industry in Odíhg Tmèlíhp.

Odíhg Tmèlíhp's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used which employed abundant symbolic geometry, using pure forms such as the circle and square, and plans are based on often symmetrical layouts featuring rectangular courtyards and halls. These structures were is decorated with carved stone or stucco reliefs and made use of colorful stone mosaics..
